The year 2020, was memorable for a variety of reasons (where do we even start?) - but, for the owner of M.A.G. Unique, it will always be known as the year she took a big risk to pursue her passion.
Our boutique’s founder and boss-babe, Marilena, comes from an extensive background in the beauty industry. So, it was a natural progression to devote ourselves to empowering women and helping them find their confidence through fashion. Beauty comes from within, but when you feel great in your own skin, that confidence can light up any room.
M.A.G. Unique turns one this month, and we wanted to take this opportunity to share our brand story with you. (and maybe even a special offer if you read all the way to the end!
What’s in a name?
One of the top questions we always get asked is: “What does M.A.G. stand for?”
Well, in true momtrepreneur fashion, owner Marilena wanted her brand to incorporate her number one support group, her kids.
“I have 3 very different, very unique children. My eldest is 15yrs (Mosé), middle is 12yrs (Angelina) and my little firecracker is almost 2 (Gaetano). Hence the name, M.A.G. Unique”

M.A.G. Unique came to fruition, after hours of searching the depths of the internet for organic, high-quality clothing for her youngest son who was born with really bad eczema. The fibres we put on our bodies can make a big difference in how we feel, especially if you suffer from skin irritation.
Big advocates of fashion quality, over quantity, we truly believe that having pieces in your wardrobe that are not only versatile, but higher-quality staples that make you feel amazing every time you wear them, is more valuable than having a closet overflowing with lesser quality, trendier styles. Meet Marilena Fanelli, owner of M.A.G. Unique. This fashionable and health-conscious mom of 3 was inspired to open her clothing store by her children. Sadly, her youngest son was born with eczema, so the poor guy was always uncomfortable and itchy. She found that she had to be incredibly careful in picking out his clothing, as not all clothing is as “all-natural” as it is claimed to be. Her experience got her thinking about what she could do to help others find high-quality clothing at a good price. This began her mission to find clothing for women with quality and unique style in mind.
Marilena is incredibly selective when choosing the brands she works with. She looks for a good connection with the designers, excellent quality, pricing, and if they give back to their communities in any way.
